Juliet McKenna, a hydrogeologist and water policy consultant with M&A, will be presenting a talk on September 4 as part of the Water Wednesday series. The topic of the talk, which will be held at the Pinal County Cooperative Extension office at 12:00 p.m., is Pinal County water, today and tomorrow.
Juliet is the editor of M&A’s Arizona Water Policy Update, a monthly newsletter that tracks trends and monitors events that affect the price and availability of water in Arizona and the Southwest. In 2010–2011, she co-chaired the 10-member Citizens Task Force appointed by the Pinal County Board of Supervisors. The task force developed recommendations that were adopted as an amendment to the 2011 Comprehensive Plan to clarify water planning requirements in the county. A registered geologist in Arizona, California, Washington, and Idaho, Juliet has worked with water-related interests throughout the western U.S. and New England.
Juliet’s talk is the first in a series of four.
