Cameron Tana, P.E., principal hydrologist and California operations manager, is co-presenting at the Groundwater Resources Association (GRA) Central Coast branch meeting on Thursday, September 3. The presentation, titled “Pure Water Soquel: Inside California’s Newest Potable Reuse Project,” will also feature Michael Goymerac from Water Systems Consulting. Prior to the presentation, Cameron and Michael will lead a behind-the-scenes tour of the Pure Water Soquel (PWS) Willowbrook injection well site.
Cameron has worked closely with Soquel Creek Water District since 2006. He supported development of the Basin’s Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) and led the groundwater hydrology aspects of the PWS project, an advanced water purification and groundwater replenishment program that converts recycled water into a new water supply source.
The GRA branch meeting will be held at a local brewery whose owners are collaborating with Soquel Creek Water District on a purified-water beer.
