Although employees will proceed on their career path at different rates, and they may take different directions, the framework of our professional development program applies to all scientific and technical employees.
Professional Development Program
We support scientist professional development by providing project opportunities, training, and mentoring to advance technical and workforce skills. Training programs are based on years of experience, level, and professional interests of both the individual and the company. Early-career training focuses on the application of groundwater science and also soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and time management. As a scientist advances in the company, training focuses on developing technical expertise and skills in project management, client relations, and our business operations. Senior employees are provided coaching in management skills that promote effective mentoring and communication across teams.
Employee Cohort Training
Because scientist success is supported by collaboration with others, employees participate in the cohort training program with a group of peers. Each scientist or manager is assigned a cohort appropriate for their stage of career development. Through regular meetings conducted by our career development lead and senior employees, the cohort program covers topics essential to each individual’s job. Smaller group discussions enhance learning and facilitate personal connection with coworkers across the company. Through the cohort program, we apply tested professional development strategies and provide ongoing training opportunities that help employees advance their careers.
