On October 6, M&A was recognized by POSCO as one of the four most outstanding companies supporting their mining operation. José Ferretti, senior environmental geologist and Salta operations manager, was invited to accept the award on behalf of Mike Rosko, P.G., vice president and principal hydrogeologist.
The plaque, awarded by the president of POSCO, reads:
We deeply appreciate the professionalism and dedication demonstrated in the hydrogeological studies, brine resource evaluation, and production well development planning, which contributed significantly to the successful completion and stable operation of POSCO Argentina’s Plant 2.
The presentation was held at the Convention Center in the City of Salta and attended by national and provincial authorities and representatives from other service providers in the community.
“I would like to extend this recognition to the Chile office, from which SRL inherited and with which it shared the project, especially Esteban Briones and the entire team,” José said. “I would also like to thank Manuel Merino for the constant support and guidance. Finally, I want to highlight Mike’s tremendous effort in sustaining the project, from a technical and administrative standpoint and through the ongoing support provided to the well supervisors, helping them resolve operational issues in real time.”
