Walter Weinig joins M&A’s Denver office

M&A welcomes Walter Weinig to its Denver office.

Walter is a senior hydrogeologist with over 25 years of consulting experience. He specializes in solving complex problems related to groundwater and surface water flow, contaminant transport, and saturated and unsaturated hydrologic systems. An experienced project manager, Walter has led multidisciplinary teams from project conceptualization through completion — from baseline studies through site investigation, closure, and remediation — resulting in permit approvals, environmental compliance, and litigation success. He has worked on projects located throughout the U.S., Africa, Europe, and South America. Walter also brings us extensive experience conducting hydrogeologic characterization, permitting, impact, and feasibility studies for mining clients.

Walter earned his master’s degree in hydrology and water resources from the University of Arizona and his bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Wisconsin. He is a registered Professional Geologist in six states and a Registered Member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME).
