M&A to participate in upcoming SME / CMA conference

M&A will be among those exhibiting at the 2015 SME Annual Conference & Expo / CMA 117th National Western Mining Conference. The event takes place at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver from February 15–18; staff from M&A’s Denver office will be on hand at booth #1024.

In addition to the Expo, the conference features short courses, workshops, field trips, and technical sessions — including a presentation by Walter Weinig. Entitled “Acceptable, Achievable, Sustainable? Assessing Post-Closure Goals at Legacy Mine Sites,” Weinig’s talk will highlight case studies that illustrate the challenges associated with setting closure goals for abandoned, inactive, and operating facilities that predate modern closure planning.
