The Texas Water Development Board recently announced the completion of a Groundwater Availability Model (GAM) for the southern portion of the Queen City, Sparta, and Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifers in eastern Texas, and Montgomery & Associates (M&A) contributed to this project. The GAM represents years of hard work by GSI Environmental, Inc.–who contracted with M&A to develop the hydrogeologic conceptual model–and it will be a useful tool to help assess groundwater availability and the effects of pumping and drought on these aquifers. This is the third GAM in which M&A has been involved.
