Montgomery & Associates (M&A) is proud to support the Groundwater Resources Association of California (GRA) as a 2021 annual sponsor. The first virtual event of the year is “The Future of Water” on February 23 and 24, 2021.
Michael Levengood, GIS and data coordinator in M&A’s Tucson office, will present “Engaging Groundwater Sustainability Plan Stakeholders through Data Visualization in an Interactive Web Portal” during the session on innovative visualization tools to improve communication of complex data. Also representing M&A with the following poster presentations are:
- Megan Zivic, P.G., hydrogeologist in Tucson: “Communicating the Dynamics of Groundwater Conceptual Models Through 3D Visualization”
- Hanieh Haeri, Ph.D., engineering hydrologist in Oakland: “The Effect of Modeling Sea Level Rise to Evaluate Seawater Intrusion in a Critically Overdrafted Basin”
- Mekha Pereira, groundwater hydrologist in Tucson: “Are Your Wells Assets or Liabilities? A Data-Driven Approach to Evaluate Risk”
This GRA conference focuses on leading-edge technology and new or future methods for monitoring, remote sensing, communication, modeling, data science, water quality threats, water planning, and water markets.
Other GRA events include the Fourth Annual GSA Summit being held virtually June 9-10, and the Fourth Annual Western Groundwater Congress in Los Angeles September 13-15.
