On July 14, M&A’s Mark Cross participated with five other invited recharge experts in the “International Seminar on Artificial Recharge:  Methods, Experiences, Errors, and Solutions”, held in Santiago de Chile.  Mark presented a paper entitled “Large-Scale Artificial Recharge in Arizona: Experiences and Lessons Learned”.

The seminar was a joint initiative between the University of Chile, the University of Talca, the International Hydrologic Program of UNESCO, the business Sociedad del Canal de Maipo, and the Latin American Association of Hydrogeology for Development. The event was well attended, with more than 200 representatives from private industry, government, and academia.
