Lisa Porta and Pete Dennehy contribute to HydroVisions

Montgomery & Associates (M&A) is proud to have two contributors to the Summer 2023 issue of HydroVisions, the official publication of the Groundwater Resources Association of California (GRA).

Lisa Porta, P.E., senior water resources engineer and California Water Strategy lead, co-wrote “Summarizing Technical Aspects of Inadequacies in 2023 DWR Determinations on Re-Submitted 2020 GSPs.” The article offers a concise summary of DWR determinations on the re-submitted 2020 Groundwater Sustainability Plans (GSPs). Lisa also co-organized the 2023 SGMA Summit, which is covered on pages 6 and 7 of HydroVisions.

Pete Dennehy, P.G., C.Hg., senior hydrogeologist, co-wrote “Water in the Bank – California’s Mission to Recharge Groundwater During Wet Years for Drought Resiliency.” This article focuses on efforts to recharge groundwater in this year’s abnormally wet winter in California.

M&A is an annual sponsor of GRA and supports the organization through conference participation and committee service. Lisa and Pete have been active in GRA for years, and both currently serve on the technical committee.
