Fall 2017 Luncheon Meeting of AWE (Arizona Women’s EnviroLink)
“Whiskey is for Drinking and Water is for Fighting”
In a nod to the west’s fabled attachment to both water and whiskey, Leslie Katz, a senior hydrogeologist with Montgomery & Associates will join Steven Paul, a local craft whiskey producer with Hamilton Distillers, to speak at a luncheon meeting of AWE (Arizona Women’s EnviroLink). AWE is an informal networking group for professionals with diverse environmental backgrounds and interests. Everyone is welcome to attend! Details are provided below.
Water and whiskey share a rich history in the west. While we are no longer living in a time when whiskey is considered safer to drink than water, we continue to face significant water quality challenges. Leslie’s talk will provide an update on emerging contaminants in drinking water. Steven will subsequently share the unique story of Del Bac’s rise to becoming one of country’s premier single malt whiskeys.
Date/Time: October 17th, Luncheon 11:30 – 12:30
Location: Granite Construction, 4115 E. Illinois Street, Tucson AZ 85714
The cost is $25 payable at the door with cash or check made out to AWE
