M&A is dedicated to helping future water professionals and engaging with the communities in which we work and live. Our efforts to support education, our profession, and our communities include funding university scholarships and awards and contributing to non-profit organizations. M&A employees get involved by participating in professional organizations, serving on boards and committees, and volunteering their time.

2024 El Dia prize winner Lin Ji and M&A Groundwater Hydrologist Alyssa Kirk

  • M&A is proud to be a longtime sponsor of the University of Arizona’s annual El Día del Agua y la Atmósfera and GeoDaze events by providing the Montgomery Prize to students in the Departments of Hydrology & Atmospheric Sciences and Geosciences. Named for our founder, Errol “Monte” Montgomery, the prize is awarded for best oral presentation.

    The winner of the $2,500 Montgomery Prize at the 2024 El Día del Agua y la Atmósfera is Lin Ji. The winner of the $2,500 Montgomery Prize at the 2024 GeoDaze Symposium is Isaiah Spring. For a list of past winners, click here.

  • M&A is a longtime supporter of the Arizona Hydrological Society Foundation, which provides scholarships to hydrology students. We are proud to support this organization that helps future hydrologists.

  • In California, our support for the Groundwater Resources Association (GRA) includes annual sponsorship, event participation, and serving in leadership roles throughout the state. GRA aims to protect and improve groundwater supply and quality through education and technical leadership, and we are proud to support their mission.
