Chris Cottingham has extensive experience in mining and environmental hydrogeology. For 25 years, he worked for various consulting companies in Utah, Nevada, California, and Oregon; he also served as a senior hydrogeologist for Newmont Mining for three years, where he oversaw the expansion of a dewatering system at an underground mine. He has provided hydrogeologic expertise for mining projects in the western United States, Canada, and Central and South America.

Chris’s areas of specialization include mine dewatering, mine water supply, mine permitting and NEPA, groundwater management, well installation and wellfield management, aquifer testing and characterization for mine feasibility studies, and contaminant investigation and remediation. Based in Reno, Nevada, Chris and his team support M&A mining clients throughout the West.
