Mike Rosko will be co-teaching a short course with independent Tucson-based geologist Dawn Garcia on “Hydrogeologic Studies for Exploration, Development and Operations in the Mining Industry” at La Convención Internacional de Minería, in Guadalajara, Mexico on October 25, 2017.   This course will present hydrogeology studies in support of groundwater exploration, mine development and operations.  Examples will include water supply studies, baseline characterization, setting up monitoring programs, and predicting future water quality and quantity.

The course is appropriate for a wide range of personnel in exploration and mining operations.  It will be given in English with support in Spanish.  Co-instructors Mike Rosko and Dawn Garcia have a combined 60 years’ experience in the mining and environmental hydrogeology working on nearly 100 mining projects in the US, Mexico, and South America.
