M&A’s Tucson headquarters just went green. We are now harnessing the sun’s energy to run our computers, air conditioners, coffee makers, and everything else that plugs into an outlet! Taking advantage of a recommendation from our CPA, Gregory Blake, we hired a local solar energy contractor, Technicians For Sustainability (TFS), to construct a new parking canopy. The canopy features 308 solar panels that produce over 70,000 watts of electricity — about 70 percent of our current annual consumption. Once we replace our seven air conditioning units, we’ll be generating nearly all the power we require.

If you’re interested, there’s still time to take advantage of the solar rebates*, grants, and tax credits to install a solar array at your facility. We saved about two-thirds of the total installation cost up front, and the solar array will pay for itself in about 5 years. Contact TFS (520-740-0736) or another contractor to see if solar power might be a feasible option for you.
