M&A is proud to announce that we recently endowed the $150,000 Montgomery & Associates Scholarship fund at the University of Arizona. Each year, two students in the Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences department and one student in the Geosciences department will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Their studies must be focused on groundwater or subsurface fluid-rock investigations.

Another educational initiative is M&A’s donation match for employee contributions to the UArizona Shlomo and Yael Neuman Hydrology Endowment Fund. Employees have contributed more than $3,000 to the fund this fall, and M&A will match these donations up to $2,500. The Neuman scholarship supports a graduate student of superior academic and research achievement in groundwater and subsurface hydrology and numerical modeling.

M&A has a long history with UArizona and is committed to helping students pursue their educational goals in hydrology and geosciences. Founded in 1984 by Dr. Errol “Monte” Montgomery, M&A grew out of Monte’s early consulting work with Dr. John Harshbarger, founder of the UArizona Department of Hydrology & Water Resources. Today, about 40 M&A employees hold one or more degrees from UArizona.
