Colin Kikuchi, Ph.D.

Principal Groundwater Hydrologist

Areas of Specialization

Groundwater Flow Modeling

Hydrologic Simulations

Groundwater/Surface Water Interactions

Hydrologic Monitoring Networks

Colin Kikuchi manages M&A’s modeling team, one of the largest and most experienced in the western United States and South America, who are proficient in a variety of numerical groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling codes. Colin has either constructed or supervised construction of more than 20 groundwater flow models. His primary areas of expertise are numerical modeling, evaluation of mine dewatering and pit slope depressurization, groundwater-surface water interactions, and quantitative uncertainty analysis.

Prior to joining M&A, Colin worked on projects evaluating groundwater and groundwater-surface water interactions for the USGS Alaska Science Center. He also served as lead instructor for the Alaska Section of American Water Resources Association’s workshop series on groundwater-surface water interactions.
