M&A mourns the loss of friend and colleague Tom Meixner

The M&A family is grieving the loss of Tom Meixner, Ph.D., professor and head of the University of Arizona Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences, and alumnus of the hydrology program. Tom was shot and killed on campus, Wednesday, October 5. He was a beloved member of the community and a leader at the university. Tom’s first priority was always the students. He touched the lives of many M&A staff, either as their professor, advisor, career counselor, or hydrology field camp director with his good friend Dr. Ty Ferre. Our hearts go out Tom’s family, students, and colleagues during this time of tragedy and sorrow.

Mourners created a memorial outside the University of Arizona Harshbarger Building in honor of Dr. Tom Meixner.
