Three Montgomery & Associates professionals will present at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Annual Convention in Toronto, Ontario, on Saturday, March 2. Mike Rosko, P.G., principal hydrogeologist and vice president in the Tucson office; Megan Zivic, PG, principal hydrogeologist in the Tucson office; and Brandon Schneider, P.G., senior hydrogeologist in the Santiago office, will present a short course titled Lithium Brine Characterization: Resources and Reserves.

Each presenter in this half-day course will focus on different aspects of lithium brine characterization, including factors involved in evaluating a lithium brine resource and reserve, requirements for a successful project, and potential problems associated with development of a lithium brine project. Participants will learn about methods used by hydrogeologists, how and why brine estimates are different from hard rock deposits, and factors necessary to determine a project’s feasibility.

Mike is a Qualified Person for lithium resource and reserve estimations under the NI 43-101, JORC, and S-K 1300 regulatory programs and has been involved with more than 20 lithium brine projects in the last 15 years. Megan is also a Qualified Person for lithium resource and reserve estimations and has worked with models and lithium brine resource estimations for more than 10 years. Brandon is a Professional Geologist in the United States and a Registered Member of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration, serving as a Qualified Person for lithium brine projects.
