\"\"El viernes 31 de enero Montgomery & Associates despide a Anna Urizar, ilustradora cient\u00edfica en la oficina de Tucson. Anna se retira de la empresa despu\u00e9s de exactamente 33 a\u00f1os de servicio.<\/p>\n

El trabajo de Anna, y el campo de la redacci\u00f3n, ha cambiado significativamente durante su mandato. Cuando fue contratada el 1 de febrero de 1987, las herramientas de una ilustradora cient\u00edfica inclu\u00edan l\u00e1pices de colores, bol\u00edgrafos, una curva francesa, una br\u00fajula y un borrador el\u00e9ctrico. Preparar mapas y dibujos t\u00e9cnicos a mano estaba en l\u00ednea con la experiencia art\u00edstica de Anna. Pero a medida que la industria comenz\u00f3 a reemplazar los dibujos manuales con el dise\u00f1o asistido por computadora (CAD), Anna tuvo que aprender un nuevo idioma. Anna se adapt\u00f3 a esta nueva tecnolog\u00eda y luego, con la llegada del mapeo del sistema de informaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica (SIG), ampli\u00f3 su caja de herramientas una vez m\u00e1s. En el departamento de redacci\u00f3n de dos personas de M&A, mientras Anna estaba ocupada preparando cifras para informes y memorandos t\u00e9cnicos, tambi\u00e9n aprendi\u00f3 Adobe Illustrator para dise\u00f1ar portadas de informes y propuestas de marca y materiales de marketing. Ha respondido a las necesidades cambiantes del campo y al crecimiento de la empresa, apoyando a innumerables cient\u00edficos durante su carrera.<\/p>\n
