El pasante seleccionado contribuye a un tema de <i>Cauce seco de un r\u00edo<\/i>, una publicaci\u00f3n anual de WRRC que se enfoca en un problema de agua de relevancia regional. El tema de este a\u00f1o es el valor del agua.<\/p>\n<p>El pasante de 2013, Max Efrein, fue seleccionado de un grupo de estudiantes solicitantes de la Universidad de Arizona, la Universidad Estatal de Arizona y la Universidad del Norte de Arizona. Max, estudiante de \u00faltimo a\u00f1o en periodismo e historia, recibi\u00f3 recientemente la Beca Donovan Kramer de la Escuela de Periodismo de la UA para 2013\u201314. En marzo pasado, se ofreci\u00f3 como voluntario para Global Water Brigades a lo largo de la costa sur de Ghana, donde ayud\u00f3 a construir sistemas de recolecci\u00f3n de agua de lluvia para una comunidad empobrecida.<\/p>\n<p>La pasant\u00eda del a\u00f1o pasado fue otorgada a Madhumitha Raghav, Ph.D. candidato en el Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica y Ambiental de la UA, que escribi\u00f3 sobre contaminantes emergentes de inter\u00e9s en el agua.
