La Parte 2 presentar\u00e1 algunos estudios de casos para mostrar algunas aplicaciones innovadoras de esta tecnolog\u00eda.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Los transductores cementados permiten el monitoreo de los cabezales de presi\u00f3n en m\u00faltiples zonas de acu\u00edferos, sin los costos ni los requisitos reglamentarios de los pozos.<\/h2>\n<p>Introducidos por primera vez en la d\u00e9cada de 1960, los transductores de presi\u00f3n totalmente cementados ofrecen una forma eficiente y rentable de obtener datos para la caracterizaci\u00f3n de acu\u00edferos en sitios mineros. El transductor de presi\u00f3n est\u00e1ndar utilizado en la industria minera es el piez\u00f3metro de cuerda vibrante (VWP). Los VWP cuentan con un cable vibrante alojado dentro de una c\u00e1mara herm\u00e9ticamente sellada y evacuada. Detectan peque\u00f1os cambios en la presi\u00f3n dentro del acu\u00edfero, que luego se convierten en cambios en la carga hidr\u00e1ulica. Originalmente, los VWP se instalaron dentro de un paquete de arena para protegerlos y permitir el contacto con el acu\u00edfero. Este m\u00e9todo de empaque de arena se consider\u00f3 m\u00e1s tarde innecesario, lento y arriesgado. Los VWP ahora se instalan com\u00fanmente directamente dentro de la lechada de cemento y bentonita, una pr\u00e1ctica que ha resultado en tasas de \u00e9xito considerablemente m\u00e1s altas y tiempos de instalaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s cortos y, por lo tanto, costos de instalaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s bajos.<\/p>\n<p>Un beneficio importante de usar VWP inyectados para la caracterizaci\u00f3n del sitio de la mina es su potencial para maximizar la recopilaci\u00f3n de datos a un costo relativamente bajo. Se pueden instalar f\u00e1cilmente en perforaciones de exploraci\u00f3n que, de otro modo, se abandonar\u00edan despu\u00e9s de la perforaci\u00f3n y el muestreo geol\u00f3gicos. Por lo general, se instalan varios VWP a profundidades seleccionadas, pero M&amp;A ha instalado hasta 11 dentro de un solo pozo para medir gradientes verticales y cabezas en numerosas zonas de acu\u00edferos. Los VWP se pueden usar para monitorear la presi\u00f3n en condiciones ambientales, durante las pruebas de acu\u00edferos o durante las operaciones mineras. Suponiendo que el pozo sea estable, los VWP tambi\u00e9n se pueden instalar con otros tipos de instrumentos, como inclin\u00f3metros y fibra \u00f3ptica.<\/p>\n<p>La instalaci\u00f3n de VWP en perforaciones de exploraci\u00f3n permite que el proceso de recopilaci\u00f3n de datos comience temprano en el ciclo minero. La recopilaci\u00f3n de datos del nivel del agua durante la etapa inicial de la miner\u00eda puede generar grandes dividendos en el futuro, ya que la integraci\u00f3n de los datos hidrol\u00f3gicos y geol\u00f3gicos generalmente se vuelve m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil a medida que avanza el proyecto. Adem\u00e1s, para las minas que est\u00e1n en la etapa greenfield y planeadas para una venta futura, los primeros datos hidrogeol\u00f3gicos pueden aumentar la confianza en el valor y el potencial de producci\u00f3n de la propiedad al definir mejor el riesgo.<\/p>\n<p>Otro beneficio importante de los VWP es su capacidad para usarse con sistemas de telemetr\u00eda para la recopilaci\u00f3n remota de datos. La telemetr\u00eda es especialmente valiosa para los sitios mineros, donde el acceso de veh\u00edculos puede ser problem\u00e1tico o peligroso. Los datos recopilados a trav\u00e9s de los VWP cementados se almacenan en un registrador de datos, que puede equiparse con un sistema de telemetr\u00eda para transmitir datos a una red para su revisi\u00f3n y procesamiento. Cuando finaliza el monitoreo o se requiere mantenimiento, se puede llegar al piez\u00f3metro a pie y el sistema de telemetr\u00eda se puede recuperar f\u00e1cilmente. La infraestructura de superficie, como carreteras y plataformas de perforaci\u00f3n, generalmente se puede eliminar despu\u00e9s de la instalaci\u00f3n, ya que el acceso de veh\u00edculos ya no es necesario.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente, la mayor\u00eda de los reguladores reconocen (o pueden ser convencidos) que los piez\u00f3metros cementados son, por definici\u00f3n, perforaciones abandonadas. Esto ofrece varias ventajas reglamentarias: los piez\u00f3metros totalmente cementados normalmente no necesitan ser registrados, autorizados o abandonados como pozos, ni necesitan ser rastreados en bases de datos de pozos.
