En la pr\u00e1ctica, la ubicaci\u00f3n debe tener en cuenta no solo las condiciones hidrogeol\u00f3gicas y las restricciones legales o reglamentarias, sino tambi\u00e9n sus objetivos de recarga y recuperaci\u00f3n. Si su objetivo es recuperar la misma agua que se us\u00f3 para la recarga, entonces deber\u00e1 colocar el pozo en el sitio de recarga o degradarlo hacia abajo. Sin embargo, si simplemente desea beneficiarse de la mayor cantidad de agua almacenada, entonces sus pozos de recuperaci\u00f3n <em>no necesita<\/em> ubicarse gradiente abajo del sitio de recarga.<\/p>\n<p>Esto puede parecer contrario a la intuici\u00f3n; despu\u00e9s de todo, las leyes de la f\u00edsica dictan que el agua de una instalaci\u00f3n de recarga fluye cuesta abajo.
