Este a\u00f1o, la Sociedad Estadounidense de Represas (USSD, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) est\u00e1 realizando una serie de talleres relacionados con las represas de relaves mineros como parte de su reuni\u00f3n y conferencia anual. Carrolette Winstead presentar\u00e1 una sesi\u00f3n sobre el entorno regulatorio actual asociado con el cierre de presas de relaves.<\/p>\n

Este taller se llevar\u00e1 a cabo el 14 de febrero en Phoenix. Contar\u00e1 con presentaciones de expertos de la industria, seguidas de paneles de discusi\u00f3n, sobre los aspectos t\u00e9cnicos y regulatorios del cierre sostenible de presas de relaves, as\u00ed como posibles aplicaciones a embalses de cenizas de carb\u00f3n y otros desechos en suspensi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Carrolette, especialista en permisos ambientales, se uni\u00f3 a M&A en 2011. Adem\u00e1s de trabajar para varias firmas de consultor\u00eda ambiental en el \u00e1rea de Phoenix y Denver, pas\u00f3 3 a\u00f1os administrando la Unidad de Permisos de Protecci\u00f3n de Acu\u00edferos de ADEQ, donde fue responsable de los permisos mineros e industriales.<\/p>\n
