Brady Nock, Omid Zandi, Peter Troch<\/p><\/div>\n

Omid Zandi<\/strong> fue el ganador de este a\u00f1o del $2,000 Premio Montgomery<\/strong> en la Universidad de Arizona El D\u00eda del Agua y la Atm\u00f3sfera: Investigaci\u00f3n para la Resiliencia.<\/strong> Su presentaci\u00f3n, titulada \u201cUofA-HIPAA V1: Algoritmo de recuperaci\u00f3n de precipitaci\u00f3n basado en infrarrojos de alta latitud de la Universidad de Arizona utilizando la versi\u00f3n del sensor AVHRR\u201d, fue reconocida como sobresaliente en el campo de la hidrolog\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Omid es un estudiante de posgrado de la UA cuyos intereses de investigaci\u00f3n incluyen aplicaciones de aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico con informaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica en el modelado hidrol\u00f3gico. Obtuvo una maestr\u00eda en Ingenier\u00eda Civil en la Universidad de Teher\u00e1n, Ir\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

El ganador del segundo premio $500 de M&A por presentaci\u00f3n oral en hidrolog\u00eda es Nathan Strom<\/strong>, por su presentaci\u00f3n \u201cEvaluaci\u00f3n de la viabilidad de la recarga de aguas subterr\u00e1neas en diferentes texturas del suelo y factores ambientales utilizando un flujo de trabajo HYDRUS-1D integrado en Python\u201d.<\/p>\n

Nathan es un estudiante de posgrado de la UA cuyos intereses de investigaci\u00f3n incluyen la hidrogeolog\u00eda, el modelado de aguas subterr\u00e1neas y superficiales, y los efectos de la urbanizaci\u00f3n en la din\u00e1mica de cuencas hidrogr\u00e1ficas. Obtuvo una licenciatura en Ciencias Ambientales en la Universidad de Minnesota en Minneapolis.<\/p>\n

Brady Nock<\/strong>, hidroge\u00f3logo de Montgomery & Associates, entreg\u00f3 los premios a Omid y Nathan, junto con Peter Troch, profesor de Hidrogeolog\u00eda y Ciencias Atmosf\u00e9ricas.<\/p>\n

El ganador de este a\u00f1o del $2,500 Premio Montgomery<\/strong> Para la mejor charla general en geodaze<\/strong> es Madison Tuohy<\/strong> para \u201cEl impacto de la topograf\u00eda din\u00e1mica en las facies de lava: un an\u00e1lisis de series temporales de los procesos de relleno y derrame en Fagradalsfja\u201d.<\/p>\n

Madison obtuvo su licenciatura en Geof\u00edsica en la Universidad Estatal de Nueva York (SUNY) en Binghamton y actualmente cursa un doctorado en la Universidad de Arizona (UA). Su especialidad es la observaci\u00f3n de la geomorfolog\u00eda de los flujos de lava bas\u00e1ltica mediante geof\u00edsica de superficie y sistemas a\u00e9reos no tripulados.<\/p>\n
