M&A to sponsor southern Arizona technical luncheon program

M&A will be sponsoring a special joint AZ Water / ASCE luncheon program on March 2. Mike Ortega, Tucson City Manager will be presenting a talk on “Downtown Tucson Redevelopment and Revitalization.”

Time: March 2, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Place: Hotel Tucson City Center, 475 N. Granada
Cost: AZ Water members $20, nonmembers $25

Presenter: Michael Ortega began serving as Tucson City Manager in 2015. A former Cochise County Administrator and Douglas City Manager, he previously worked as an engineering manager for Pima County and various consulting firms. He has been an active member and leader on the boards of the Arizona-Mexico Commission Border Issues Committee, Arizona Town Hall, Arizona City/County Management Association, Douglas Unified School District, and Good Neighbor Environmental Board. Mike graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s in civil engineering and later earned an MBA from the UA.
